Sep 07, 2007 Reminder: Anchorage, Alaska Skate Park Opening Tomorrow! Check out Preston Pollard, Adrian Williams, and a host of others as they celebrate the grand opening of a new skate park in Anchorage, Alaska! PRESS RELEASE Revolution ChangePoint Students, Anchorage Parks & Recreation, and the New Northwest Broadcasters are partnering to support the grand opening celebration of the new Skatepark at the Spenard Recreation Center September 8th and 9th 2007. This event is encouraging a positive outlet for expression by today's Anchorage youth. Throughout the event, a national skateboarding touring company of professional skateboarders will share their life stories, talk about their faith and demonstrate their incredible skills. As our community continues to face the challenges of alcohol and drug abuse, stories of teen violence fill the headlines and airwaves; the need for focus on positive partnerships than can help Anchorage youth is evident. So join us for a fun time full of food, ramps, prizes, trick competition, Rockwall, inflatables, the Alaska State Egg-Toss Competition, live bands, and videos.
