Kirk Dianda reports from the LOVE PARK RALLY!

411 Creative Director Kirk Dianda was in Philadelphia last weekend for the LOVE Park rally...here is his first hand account of the trip...

I missed my flight on Friday, which was the last flight to Philly that night. So instead I got thrown on a flight to Vegas where I had a connecting flight, but 4 hours later at 1am which will get me into Philly Saturday morning instead... So I made the best of things and went to the gym they had in the airport then went to The Budweiser Brewhouse... So here's a photo of me drinking a 32 of Bud and watching a college football game with a bunch of old smoky Vegas people.

As I'm sure you read, the Free Love Park rally was off the heezy. So legit and cool. Couple of hundred skaters showed up and spoke, listened, chanted, rallied, and all that good stuff.

Afterwards, a whole mob of lil skate rats went over to Love from City Hall and skated! No cops, nothing. It was great...check out the bright pink water for Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Apparently the word on the streets is that park will actually becoming a legal skate spot within days, so I'll keep you posted as this unfolds.

I included a photo of Edmund Bacon, Love's founder, speaking at the rally. He went on about how lame the mayor is and how great skaters are.

Then lastly a photo of Kerry Getz, Mark Brandstetter, me, and Jessica celebrating the success of the rally that night... All the skaters got together, drank, partied, and watched the 11 o'clock news when the story aired.
