Hurley in Hawaii, Day 8

On our last day on the big island we decided to take a nice long drive out towards the Hana side of the island and check out the crazy Volcano skate park, unfortunately my dumb ass forgot to charge my camera battery so I blew getting any photos from the Volcano park which was super fun. There was some fun flatland area with a few basic obstacles then a crazy mid ramp / bowl / pyramid and hip all connected, one of the most creative wooden skate parks I've seen in a long time.

On the way out to the Volcano we stopped at this spot some local kids told us about. When we pulled up we were blown away when we saw this killer planter gap and giant hubba. The hubba was large and super steep so nobody really wanted to kill themselves trying to get something on it so we opted for the planter gap and added a makeshift rail to make thing a little more interesting. Robert Lopez-Mont, James Atkin and Andre Genovesi tried a couple different things but it was Robert that ended up landing a perfect FS Flip over the rail and sent us on our way out to the Volcano. Our session at Volcano was super fun and the drive out there was incredible with several different climate and landscape changes along the way. The big island of Hawaii is amazing and thanks to our wonderful host Chris Senn for showing us much aloha and his killer skate spots.
