Hurley In Hawaii, Day 2

Hurley in Hawaii, Day 2
Words by Aaron Astorga

"Our Second day on Oahu was spent down at the beach in town skating this brick six stair, the sandy six is what the locals call it. We had skated this spot back in December with Robert Lopez-Mont and David Loy but Andre Genovesi wanted to Nollie Heel it and James Atkin wanted to try something down it as well so we started our day off early and showed up there ready to go to work. This six stair is pretty good size and proved to be challenging for both Andre and James. The run up is good but there?s a strip of bricks just a few feet before the stairs so it was hard to get a solid set up before you hit the stairs. It took some work to finally get their tricks but Andre nailed the Nollie Heel and James landed on his Variel Heel more than once.

This spot is killer, there's something about skating on the beach in Hawaii that's amazing, Nilton Neves decided to take a dip in the warm, clear blue pacific while Andre and James went to work on the brick six. The beach goers were stoked on the skate action and another productive day of shooting photos and video was achieved.

Check back tomorrow for another update for from the Hurley Hawaii tour."
