May 09, 2007 Crimson Midwest Tour, Day 9 Crimson Midwest Tour, Day 9 On today's agenda we have two shop signings, one at Trend Cellar in McHenry, IL and the other at Steve Fauser's hometown shop F.A. Skates in Arlington Heights, IL. We got to the Trend Cellar about an hour before school let out so Carol bought us lunch and we hung around the shop had some lunch and waited for the kids. Rob from Warped skatepark and Bud from Jessup griptape come out to the signing to say what up to everyone. Carol was a gracious host and she really helps to keep the scene alive in McHenry. After finishing lunch and signing some autographs we said goodbye and hit the road. Steve Fauser was getting really excited and I think he was on the phone the entire drive to F.A. When we arrived at F.A. it was like a reunion for Steve, all of his homies were there and a little while later his mom and Aunt showed up. He even had one of his girlfriends bring us a batch of Vegan chocolate cookies and Vegan sloppy joes. I know that this may not sound like much, but when traveling this is nothing short of amazing. If you're in the area make your way to F.A., their selection is vast and the even have a little mini ramp upstairs. After dragging Steve out of the shop we got back on the road and made our way toward tomorrow's stop. Come back tomorrow for more of the Crimson Midwest Tour!
