411VM Up For Grabs
FREEze! Hands up! Up For Grabs, that is! Up For Grabs, the newest release from 411VM, becomes available to the masses FREE on February 27th, 2007! Yeah, that's right! FREE! With Art Direction from Uncle Geez (5Boro, Zoo York), you'll for sure want to get your hands on one of these bad boys! Imagine a humongous product toss so big that even Tampa Am would be jealous and everyone gets a FREE skate video! Yeah, it's like that! FREE! Getting hyped to go skate ain't a problem with Up For Grabs! A solid Openers with the classic 411VM theme song will make you say "DAAAM!" faster than Tha Alkaholiks! Kevin Romar sets the new standard for the term 'Bolts!' and Justin Figueroa brings a holy-shitter to the table with a 21-Stair Nosegrind that couldn't have been done better! Jumping around to Chaos, Up For Grabs wastes no time as Greg Lutzka, Jerry Hsu, Tony Tave, and a bucket full of others kill it out in the streets. Hey Peter Raffin: Watch out for those chairs! Yikes! 411VM introduced Terell Robinson 4 years ago in issue #61 and already Terell has stood the test of time! So naturally, Classic Rock was fitting this time around as Terell wows audiences once again with a killer full part. Coming out swingin' with a huge gap Ollie you gotta see to believe, Terell's explosive pop and gnarly tricks (Kickflip Blunt Fakie Sylmar!) will get you off your ass, out the door and on your skateboard! Feeling good after Terell's part, Up For Grabs follows up with a choice bag of tech from Derek Fukuhara and Jason Wakuzawa. Casual Switch Tail 270 Heelflips and smooth Switch Flip Back Smiths aren't the only tricks you'll feast your eyes on. With the help of Filmbot's Mike Stanfield, Derek and Jason light off some fireworks for your skateboarding viewing pleasure. Once the smoke clears, 411VM brings us to the notorious Nate Sherwood! Yes, THE Nate Sherwood. Up For Grabs brings you a freestylin' full part from the man who is under-more-pressure-than-David-Bowie, with a special guest appearance from a surprise skater. Who would've thought they were homies? Yo he's got the glove, don't make fun! 'Cause Nate's got plenty of love... from 411VM and Up For Grabs. EMB Forev's! Speaking of forever, the city that never sleeps brings us a New York City Montage from the "5 boroughs" of skateboarding: 5Boro, Official, Shut, Vehicle and Zoo York. Featuring Brandon Westgate, Rodney Torres, Luis Tolentino, Eli Reed, and Zered Bassett, the Big Apple skaters are holding it down on the East Coast and this montage represents! For real, yo! Transitioning from one side of the world to another, Up For Grabs hangs up to dry with a full part from Chad Bartie. Anybody who is awake in skateboarding these days knows that transition skating is the shit. Dylan Rieder knows it; Chris Haslam knows it; hell, Chad Bartie should teach it! Every skater needs a 4:30am wake up call to get their butts up out of bed and get those wallrides down! Watch Bartie's part, find an empty pool, and skate your ass off until your white pants become black! And that's not all! Feeling a bit of pressure from everyone about Nate's part, Up For Grabs gives in and lets loose an extra special feature entitled Sherwood's Shenanigans! Nate applies the pressure to his friend, none other than Daewon Song, enlisting his help to upgrade his motherboard from an iMac to a G5! Make sense to you? No? Well it doesn't make sense to us, either! Catch Nate in his rawest, purest form with his overcharged charisma, interesting vocabulary and puzzling Pressure Flip combos, enough to keep everyone shaking their heads like an old lady. If the phone rings, beware... 411VM's Up For Grabs, available for FREE! February 27th, 2007 at your local skateshop! |
